Professional handling of Bagh e Mehtab sex racket case by Srinagar police have led to bust of another prostitution racket in Srinagar. Following investigation into brothel unearthed by police at Bagh e Mehtab area in Chanpora area of Srinagar, the police team developed a lead and exposed second flesh trade point operational in Nowgam area of Srinagar city, said police sources. Both the brothel exposed were running in connivance with each other, added insiders in police.
During raid, the cops arrested Shabir Mir of charlipora Nowgam, Shazia Mir w/o accused Shabir Mir and Adil Gulzar Hazar of Soura on spot for running sex racket in Nowgam while two customers and two sex worker were also detained.
Worth to mentioned here that Srinagar police on April 3 on the complaints of citizens busted a well organised sex racket at Bagh e Mehtab area in Chanpora, Srinagar city and acting against the accused with iron hands slapped both operators of brothel with PSA besides sealing the den of shame used for prostitution after registering case under Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act .
