REASI:In it’s endeavours to generate awareness among youth and citizens in society against drug abuse and its ill effects, the District Police Reasi in collaboration with Natrang Theatre Group has organized a theatre show under Civic Action Programme on drug abuse and communal harmony at Tempo Stand Near Bhim Garh Fort Reasi.
Several political, social activists, large number of civil society members, students of college and schools and drivers, cleaners, conductors witnessed the event. Besides Officers and Officials from District administration and Police were also present. In the event audience were made aware about the ill effects of drug abuse. The youths were also appealed to become brand ambassadors against drug abuse in society and become symbol of communal harmony.
Chairman DDC Reasi Saraf Singh Nag was Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the performance of the artist in the event and conveyed that the message flashed by the artists should be sent to every nook and corner to eradicate this menace from society.
While addressing the event, Amit Gupta, JKPS, SSP Reasi stressed the need for organising such programmes in future as well in the district and made it clear that strict action shall be taken against the drug peddlers involved in the drug menace.
People from all sections of the society present on the occasion have hailed the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police in organizing the event and were mesmerized with the performance of the artists of Natrang Theatre Group. Artists of Natrang Theatre Group were felicitated with momentous by the dignitaries. Momentous were also given to Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.
