Reluctant GDCs Principals relent, relieve blue eyed teachers

“Under transfer faculty and non-teaching staff not joining their place of posting are liable to be terminated”, says Special Secretary HED.

JAMMU: The influential under transfer faculty members have been finally shunted out of their respective favorable place of posting after the top brass of Higher Education Department has put its foot down.

Sources privy to the development told, “The Principal Secretary, HED, Alok Kumar has taken strong exception to the working of some Principals who consider law unto themselves and were reluctant to relieve their coterie of faculty members despite issuance of transfer orders”.

Relieve the transferred faculty members by February 27 or face disciplinary action and also report those failing to join their new place of posting for necessary action under CSR rules, the Principal Secretary told the Degree Colleges Principals, revealed authoritative sources.

It is worthwhile to mention here that JK Globals News has exposed Khela allegedly being played by Principals of GCW-Parade, GCW-Gandhi Nagar, GDC-RS.Pura, GGM Science College, GDC- Hiranagar, GDC- Ramnagar, GCOE, GDC- Bhaderwah, GDC-Gool, GDC-Surankot and GDC-Samba in retaining their favorites teachers namely Pretty Dubey, Vipul Saraf, Anibreen, Rakesh Mohan, Meenu Bala, Vishal Sharma (Botany), Rakesh Kumar, Arun Kumar, Sudhir, Satish Kumar, Naz Zargar, Jatinder, Shah Jahan Ganai, Wajahat Jafri and Yashpal respectively who were transferred by HED.

Strangely, this sordid state of affair has another side of the story pertaining to allegations of favoritism, nepotism and proximity which came flying thick and fast against the recent en-masse transfer orders of non-teaching staff of GDCs issued recently and need attention of Principal Secretary, HED.

From different GDCs, the officials have shared information with JK Global News pertaining to transfer orders of non teaching staff which is under scrutiny for establishing authenticity and follow up.

It is learnt that though many influentials in violation of transfer policy were transferred from one GDC to another GDC within city municipal limit yet, those running examination mafia in city colleges of Jammu for decades together and enjoying proximity with a few Principals were left untouched.

Not only this, even some influential non-teaching staff who were transferred recently have not been relieved by the concerned Principals and the case in point is of GDC Doda whereat Sapna Bhat and Bushana Devi are continuing.
