MOSCOW: A Russian airstrike on Kyiv killed a woman and injured at least three people early Monday, Ukrainian officials said, as Moscow intensified attacks on the Ukrainian capital. The strike damaged a subway station on Kyiv’s left bank, a residential tower, a medical facility and other buildings, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Explosions were reported across parts of the city as residents took shelter amid renewed missile threats.
The attack came shortly after Washington resumed sharing critical intelligence with Ukraine to help it detect and counter Russian missile strikes. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the restoration of intelligence cooperation after a brief disruption and discussed the situation with visiting US envoys.
