Prof. S.K.Bhalla
Enthused by a news story entitled ‘Moles Dent the Secrecy of JKSSB’ which published on Wednesday in web news portal JK Global News, today’s post is being written with a sufficient application of mind. The author of news item has done some plain speaking which has compelled me to name and shame a few. Sub Inspectors’ recruitment scam has jolted the entire unemployed youth of J&K, except those who were on the list with their foul connectivity.
Assuring job in lieu of money by Mr. Clean of UT raises a huge question mark on the modus operandi of Jammu & Kashmir Service Selection Board. Definitely, money has changed hands and investigation is also going on at a snail’s pace. I am still not sure whether CBI has formally taken over the investigation exercise. The concerned are expected to concentrate on this matter of life and death.
In the light of the details already in the public domain since last evening it is eminently desirable that the then Chairman Khalid Jahangir, the then Controller of Examination Ashok Kumar and the present Secretary Sachin Jamwal be made to eat a humble pie forthwith to restore the confidence of the people for a while.
Our UT shall continue to be rocked by more scandals, scams and a lot more as corruption has now become a fact of life despite the bold stance of a few not to sit idle and expose those involved in shady practices on behalf of those who cannot put forth their angst and discomfort owing to the lack of communication skills, both written and verbal. Don’t be under the impression that if people are silent they have accepted the things. Fire of a simmering volcano may engulf all of us in case the genuine concerns of our youth are not addressed in all sincerity. Sincerity in words has no place, sincerity in action is the buzzword now a days.
Even the incumbent Chairman, Rajesh Sharma who was previously posted as Spl Secy. GAD has no right to occupy the hot seat in the light of the huge recruitment scandal that has rocked his organisation. Alas! There is no moral courage among our officers. I am told that Mr. Sharma has been the beneficiary of prize postings in the past too and may be educated in case the information is not in order. Team CVC expects immediate action against the guilty of this scam without leading the people into the labyrinth of official formalities that take a toll of our patience.
