JAMMU : The magnitude of ordeal faced by rescued girl child at the brothel where accused Swarna held her hostage for more than a month has sent shock waves down the spine of conscience keeping citizens in the society of J&K.
At tender age, the girl was subjected to intense drug addiction and sexually pounced upon by lustful monsters treating her like a dead body, narrates painfully, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Shalini Sharma.
The condition of victim was very pathetic when she was handed over to Children Welfare Committee, Jammu. We provided her the best possible counseling as well as care. We ensured that the girl child would get best possible rehabilitation and compensation which indeed are no substitute for trauma she had undergone at the hands of devilish Swarna, added the officer.
The medical examination of girl child clearly shows that she was brutally raped by the brutes of society who preferred to ignore her tender age for satisfying their lust, revealed a doctor on condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, the reliable sources in police said that the victim girl child was used to be taken into several hotels in the city of temples at Gujjar Nagar, Residency road besides several farm houses to serve their high and mighty clients as sex slave. In one and a half month of captivity, the victim girl was used like a sex machine in such a ruthless manner which can only be expected from inhumans, added the cops.
Everyone in police department who were fully aware of the operation of Swarna in Qasim Nagar remained tight lipped for the reasons quite comprehensible.
Last year, the Bagh e Bahu police booked notorious woman Swarna in FIR No 0088 dated 10/09/2022 u/s 3.4.5.7 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 382, 341,323,504,506 of IPC .
However, the investigation which is handled by one young sub Inspector failed to tame the culprit despite lapse of six months. This matter needs an enquiry as it raises a question mark on the intention of the officer who allegedly brushing the matter under the carpet for the convenience of Swarna.
The higherups in police department must enquire as to why the IO in FIR No 0088 dated 10/09/2022 is slack to take the investigation in serious offences so casually.
