    TRAP: CBI nabs red handed JMC official with bribe amount

    JAMMU: In a trap case, the Central Bureau of Investigation has caught red handed one official of Jammu Municipal Corporation while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from one Safaikaramchari of sanitation wing of JMC.

    Sources in CBI reveals, ” Complaint was received from one SKC of JMC who is posted in Ward No 22 Shastri Nagar that the Sanitary Supervisor namely Shehzadi Gill was demanding bribe of Rs 5,000 for release of his salary”. Acting on the complainant namely Arjun, the team verified the facts and laid trap at Shastri Nagar where the arrested official is posted as Sanitary Supervisor.

    As soon as the accused official accepted the bribe amount which has been previously numbered and coated with color, the team swung into action and nabbed the accused red handed.

    Till, the filing of this news item, the team of CBI was enquiring the role of other officials and officers of Health wing of JMC.
