Jammu: There is no fear of law enforcement agency among land grabbers in Bhathindi area falling under the jurisdiction of Trikuta Nagar Police station.
This vast area supporting sprawling bungalows of law makers, police and bureaucrats earned notorioty for two factors.
First, the colony is established over encroached forest land and khuds without any legal sale deeds. Second, there are several land disputes on account of multiple sale of same piece of land by the fraudster land mafia to gullible people.
This entire illegal multi million bussiness is indeed managed by the local land mafia with alleged covert support of their masters occupying seat of influence in police, civil administration and other vital institution to insulate these criminals from legal implications.
These land mafia have no fear of law and the recent open threat to Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SHO Trikuta Nagar Police Station in full public view by one Maksood Choudhary speaks volume about the grit of land grabbers prevailing in the Bhathindi area, asserted Abdul Lateef Tak grandfather of girls whose property was forcibly encroached upon in the area.
The viral video in this regard is also doing the rounds in public domain where Inspector Sajjad was seen threatened by one Maksood Choudhary alias Timmy when the later has gone to evict relative of former from a house which allegedly being encroached by them.
“The silence of SHO against the person who made threatening advances against him attributes to the grit of land grabbers over police department, said Tak
It’s worth to mentioned here that since 2016 the two orphaned girls are knocking the police door for eviction of Maksood Choudhary’s relative who forcibly occupied their house when the later was residing with their grandparents in Bhaderwah in the wake of tragic death of their father and mother in Jammu.
In the event of our father death in 2009, our grandfather borrowed this land from one Ghul Mohd Choudhary of Bhathindi and gifted the same to us.
Later, owing to death of our mother in 2010, we shifted to Bhaderwah and later we came to know that Maksood Choudhary encroached upon our property, said Sahiba
Since then we have approached every police officer from IGP to SHO but everyone seems helpless to initiate action against land grabber, she added.
When SHO who was surrounded by strong contingent of cops was not spared by the said land grabber what more now we can except from the police, she further said.Judiciary is our only hope now, she added
Sources in police revealed that on the complaint of aggrieved girls, Bhathindi police has registered case against Farman Ali driver of Retired DIG J.L Sharma, Hamid Choudhary and Latif alias billo Gujjar but interestingly avoid initiating criminal proceedings against the person who not only made aggressive advancement against Inspector Parvez Sajjad but also openly threatened him.
For public, police is a face of protection and if our protectors trembles to act against these land grabbers then for what purpose the uniform were given to them ? Perhaps, only DGP can aptly throw light on this dark side of policing.
