Jammu: Miserably failed to rein in indomitable unauthorised constructions, some blue eyed officers in enforcement wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) now hell bent to harass those who not only obtained necessary building permission but also constructing the residential structures purely as per the approved plan.
With ill intentions, there are some officers in enforcement wing of JMC who are hell bent to harass me for the reasons best known to them, lament the owner of plot number 67 A/D located in posh Green Belt Park area.
I am constructing my residential structures within parameters of plan approved by the BOCA body of JMC. Now, what transpired in the mind of some disgruntled officers of JMC only God knows better, said the aggrieved owner.
Sources in JMC revealed that for the past few days, there are constant efforts underway to inflict damage to said the under construction structure merely to coerced its owner for some unfulfilled wishes.
Even, the name of some high rank police officer also doing the round in this sad affair who also poked its nose through one of his subordinate officer who offered his services as dalal to end this impasse and pave for smooth construction of this structure, alleged JMC sources.
Sources further revealed that the concerned officials of the area are being pressurised to stop this construction who yet so far devoid of any violation.
Prevalance of such sad affair in JMC is definitely seems to be dent on the impeccable working of the Lt Governor G.C.Murmu who holds charge of crucial Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD) besides its Principal Secretary Dheeraj Gupta who is known for honesty and integrity, said an officer of JMC preferring anonymity.
Strangely, when pressure tactics failed to materialise hidden agenda of the said enforcement officer, the team from building section was send measurement. But, even then no violation was found, said an official of building section.
Unfortunately despite no violation detected, the team of enforcement wing deliberately damaged the shuttering at the behest of one officer who have created hoo-hallah particularly only on this legitimate residential construction, added JMC sources.
JKGN made several attempts to contact JMC Commissioner Pankaj Magotra and Jt Commissioner (A) Ashish Gupta to elicit their views on this grave issue but as usual none choose to respond.
