    Court convicts accused for rape of minor

    Jammu: Third additional sessions Judge, Jammu Haq Nawaz Zargar today convicted Rinku Kumar son of Bushan Kumar residence of Langotian Bishnah, Tehsil and District Jammu who was involved in kidnapping and rape of a minor.

    While convicting the accused, Zargar observed that the victim was kidnapped from her house and was kept at Lalihal and raped by accused at two places one at Langotian Village and other at Lalihal, as such, the argument of the learned defense counsel seems to be not tenable.

    Keeping in view the above judgments referred to herein above and having regard to the prosecution case, the evidence collected and produced, the prosecution is said to prove its case against the accused named above beyond any shadow of doubt under sections 363/376 RPC. Accused namely Rinku Kumar is as such held guilty for commission of offence punishable under section 363/376/RPC.
