The action, taken by the ED’s Jammu Sub-Zonal Office under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, covers Hotel Holiday Inn, Hotel Broadway, Hotel Hollywood and Hotel Mountview in Udhampur district.
The money laundering probe follows a CBI Anti-Corruption Bureau FIR alleging violations by hotel owners and officials of the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA).
Investigators have raised concerns over unauthorised commercial operations in residential premises, construction beyond approved limits and the use of forest, agricultural and other restricted land for business activities.
The CBI had filed six charge sheets in 2023 against eight hotel owners associated with six hotels and several PDA officials, alleging violations of anti-corruption, forest, tourism and other applicable laws.
