NEW DELHI : The Election Commission has imposed a ban on exit polls pertaining to the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly elections as well as bypolls in five states. The ban will remain in force till 6:30 in the evening of 5th December. During the period, conducting any exit poll and publishing or publicizing their results by means of the print and electronic media and dissemination in any other manner will be prohibited. The Commission has written a letter to the Chief Electoral Officers of concerned States in this regard.
