Following concept of apni apni party which have gained momentum after abrogation of article 370 in erstwhile J&K state, Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was born in a village name Soti of Gandoh Tehsil (Bhalessa) in a banquet hall owned by his close aide at Sainik Colony has set an “agenda” of the new proposed party. Statehood is also an area but it is sole prerogative of Pradhan Mantri Shri Narendra Modi and Greh Mantri Shri Amit Shah to restore the same as the ground realities are entirely different. He talks about right to land, employment to native domiciles and a road map for J&K’s unemployed youth and daily wagers. It is easy to sell dreams but when the ideas will culminate into action is a point of serious concern. Thunderous applause from the crowd does not matter, to sensible and awakened citizens. Truth of lofty promises is known to everyone especially after the boom of social media channels which are doing yeomen service in awakening the society in broader aspects. Gone are the days, when controlled media houses used to peddled tutored news item to befool gullible citizens at behest of politicians.
Among other matters he made a specific mention of open loot but this loot was never mentioned when he was in Sonia’s coterie. Daer Aaye Drusat Aaye.About the local liquor traders he said, “The local liquor traders have been finished and entire control of liquor industry in J&K has gone in the hands of outsiders”. This is no news as we are fully conversant with the modus operandi of the mafia who is in control of liquor business in J&K Union Territory. The role of bureaucracy is also suspect and some in the Excise department administered a deadly blow to the wine merchants.
Some congressmen with foul track record have also joined the bandwagon viz Tara Chand, Taj Mohiuddin, Majid Wani, Saroori, Peerzada etc etc. With these tired and exhausted horses Azad may not be in a position to deliver in the days ahead. There is a need to infuse fresh blood and rope in some young men and women without any questionable track record. This is an unsolicited piece of advice which may not be listened to as politicians have their own ways of conducting. They have so many tricks and in case of majority of politicians we have seen difference between kathni and karni.
In the landmark Roshni Judgment he has not been painted in a good light when rules were framed without consulting the Legislative Assembly. This point has escaped the attention of even PM Modi as in Awards conferment personal likes and dislikes matter. He has yet to decide about the name of the party and its flag. Some time may be given to him before any conclusive opinion is formed. We wish him good luck and not beyond that for the time being.
