JAMMU: Name of one retired Indian Forest Officer hailing from Jammu is doing the rounds in a benami property worth crores at Seora.
Giving details, sources in revenue department reveals that one retired IFS officer has parked his ill gotten black money in a piece of land which interestingly registered on the name of one former MLA of National Conference from Poonch.
Whereas, the power of attorney of land in question at Seora existed on the name of one former MLA of BJP from Jammu city.
“When it comes to parking of black money earned through corruption all are hand in gloves with each other. This is a cocktail of BJP-NC and retired Babus” said one property dealer.
The retired IFS officer is a close acquaintance former BJP MLA on whose name the power of attorney of benami property exist.
Recently, the IFS officer in question also filed an affidavit in court pertaining to land on behalf of attorney holder which appears to be forged as the later is not a position to recognise anyone for the last 2 months owing to serious neurological disorder, reveals insider.
Sharing documents of land as well as the forged affidavit which the officer procured and submit in court on behalf of power of attorney, the sources said ” The officer in question have invested crores of rupees in benami properties and the details of which will be available in public domain with evidence as it’s appropriate case for Enforcement Directorate to investigate”.
During popular government in erstwhile state of J&K, this retired IFS officer used to enjoy close proximity with NC ministers and as a result conferred with plum postings, added sources.
