JAMMU: Tightening noose around traders of banned Chinese manja, cops of Pacca Danga Police station arrested one accused and recovered 37 bundles of gattu from his possession.
The accused identified as Tanvir S/o Manzoor ahmed R/o H.no 822 Ustad Mohalla Jammu booked in case FIR No. 95/2022 U/S 188 IPC.
Pertinent to mentioned here that Pacca Danga Police led by SHO Inspector Raghuvir Singh Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO City DySP Sharad Kalu has achieved success in series of recoveries and arrests pertaining to sale and stocking of banned synthetic manja.
The police has fervently urged the public and especially parents to sensitise their wards against the fatal consequences of using banned Chinese manja.
Urging the public to use only traditional thread for purpose of kite flying, the police have appeal general public to provide information about illegal sale of gattu in their respective areas as this generous step on their part could help in saving precious lives.
Pertinently, every year many people lost their lives while many suffered serious injuries due to lethal Chinese thread used by senseless kite players around the festival of Rakshabandhan and Janamashtmi.
