JAMMU : The Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau has unearthed another major land scam involving land grabbers, police and officers of revenue as well as custodian department.
“Ten FIRs have been registered against land grabbers, officials of Revenue and Custodian department under the anti corruption Act, and further the searches at nearly dozen locations are underway in this regard”, reads the ACB handout.
On the basis of reliable inputs, the ACB launched investigation and during the scrutiny of records it was established that 310 kanals of Custodian land in Asarwan, Mishriwala and Bhalwal area of Jammu district has been found grabbed and subsequently sold by the land mafia in connivance with the officers/officials of Custodian, Revenue and Police department.
It is worthwhile to mentioned here that earlier, the ACB had unearthed land scam involving around 210 kanals of Custodian land in which in 5 FIRs’ were registered against the land grabbers, revenue and custodian officials.
“The nexus comprising land grabbers, gangsters officials of police, revenue and custodian department as part of criminal conspiracy obtained FORM 3-A (Form Alf) along with power of attorneys (POAs) from various POK Refugees by alluring them of additional lands and providing them instant money ranging from ₹5000 to Rs 50,000.
Thereafter by means of insertions/additions regarding additional chunks of custodian lands made in the revenue records they sold lands through their conduits to several buyers by resorting to fraudulent means, thereby causing a huge loss to the Govt.
