JAMMU: The appointment of Prof. Twinkle Suri as Director Colleges by Omar’s Government, has been challenged before the Tribunal by Dr. Satinder Kaur, who has questioned the selection on grounds of seniority, merit and eligibility.
The Tribunal, taking up the appeal, has issued notices to the Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, and other respondents, including Prof. Suri as the private respondent.
Dr. Kaur has challenged the selection process, contending that seniority, merit and eligibility were not duly considered in making the appointment.
Suri was appointed Director Colleges by the government in September on the recommendation of the Selection Committee for an initial two-year term.
The matter has been listed for hearing on November 4, 2026
