    AvnyLavasa for strict adherence to traffic rules in Leh

    Leh :Deputy Commissioner Leh, Avny Lavasa today called for strict compliance with traffic regulations and urged motorists to follow the norms of Motor Vehicle Department (MVD).

    This was stated by the DC while chairing a meeting of MVD after reviewing the traffic week arrangements here today.

    Officials including CMO, ASP, DSP SDRF, ARTO, Administrator MC besides representatives of Nehru Yuva Kendra, SRTC and representatives of various transport unions and private car dealers were also present.

    It was given out that the traffic week will commence from April 23to April 30 in the district.

    The DC asked the officers of MVD to arrange painting, debate competitions besides seminars by involving college and school students so that people could fully get educated with the norms of traffic management across the district. She asked the authorities of MVD and Police Department to prepare banners and pamphlets and also arrange car and cycle rallies during traffic week across Leh district.

    She said that the district administration is committed to facilitating people of the district with all transport facilities so that they do not face any inconvenience.
