JAMMU: Sub-Judge Jammu Renu Dogra has directed Channi Himmat Police to register FIR against Chairman Panthers Party Harsh Dev Singh and his wife Manju Devi for threatening one Sanjay Gandotra and getting signed some papers on gun point.

In the application filed by Sanjay Gandotra through Advocate Himanshu Beotra, it has been mentioned that on 17/08/2021 while the complainant and his wife Shalini Gandotra were at their store at Channi Himmat both the accused persons along with their PSO reached there and made the complainant and his wife to sit in their black Scorpio car.

They further made the complainant to drive the car and his wife was forced to sit with Manju Devi along with their PSO at the rear seat. Later, PSO of the accused persons on the direction of Harsh Dev Singh suddenly pointed his gun on the complainant and the Harsh Dev Singh started abusing the complainant and told him to sign few papers which he had brought with him.
Harsh Dev even slapped the complainant mercilessly leading to the bruises and injury on the neck and face of the complainant while as his wife manhandled the wife of the complainant. Later, the complainant rushed the car towards the Channi Himmat Police Station and on getting the opportunity managed to escape from their illegal confinement.

After hearing Advocate Himanshu Beotra in length, the court observed, “the complaint discloses the commission of cognizable offences as such Incharge Police Station Channi Himmat is directed to register case under relevant sections against the accused”.
Reacting, Harshdev Singh said: “the BJP is conspiring against me. We have already registered a case against Sanjay Gandotra, his wife and their co-conspirators in Channi Himmat police station.

The husband – wife duo while claiming support of BJP had said that nothing would happen to them even if they killed us. The statement of Sanjay Gandotra as recorded is available with us and has been brought to the notice of police also. But, unfortunately the system is working at the behest of BJP, which wants me eliminated, he added.
