Small stretch of Ragoora-Mouhmayaa road on National Highway 44 from Mad Glad upto Orange restaurant has slowly transformed into Drug-Prostitution corridor of Jammu City. The naked dance of shame and immoral activities on this stretch is no more a secret for citizens of Jammu except the concerned police officers. The youths in their infancy stage of life can be seen relishing and exchanging the dose of banned psychotropic substances from beautiful peddlers who offers dual service in these dens. With cue of luxury cars on road, the bold and beautiful too readily available to make their clients relish the dose of drug at its zenith. The strange part of this sordid affair is that some of the notorious peddlers who managed show of shame in these dens can be seen in the company of police officers in their social media profile. How disgraceful to see this?
Flourishing dens of drugs with prostitution needs to be seen as a serious threat for the society especially when the focus of the enemy sitting across the border is to promote Narco terrorism in J&K. The parents and police need to play their role in a responsible way to curb the spread of this evil. The inputs shared by the sleuths of Jammu and Kashmir Police to JKGN are more disturbing. There are reports of late night rave parties which thrive beyond 2 am. The official timing for closing doors of commercial establishments in the Jammu Municipal limit is sharp 9 pm. In such scenario-what the patrolling vehicles of police doing there only the SHO or the beat officer knows better. Leave aside restaurants, even cars parked along roadside can be seen trembling like an earthquake of severe magnitude at any given point of time and reflects complete failure of law enforcement machinery in the area.
Strangely, while this all merrily prosperous on Ragoora-Mouhmayaa Road, then how come the concerned Station House Officer remained unaware about this naked dance of shame in its jurisdiction ? Entire Jammuites especially the youngsters know what’s going on Ragoora-Mouhmayaa Road stretch then how come those manning Bagh-e-Bahu Police station unaware of these safe havens is mind blowing.
The matter needs in-depth secret investigation as to why the Bagh e Bahu Police remains lenient towards these Dens of Shame which spread its tentacles from Rajiv Nagar-Qasim Nagar upto Ragoora-Mouhmayaa Road. The higher-ups in police needs to investigate role of those who transferred from Bagh e Bahu Police station and remained beat officer of this boozing boom zone for enough length of time. Is it complete failure of source network or those part of it himself involved in this mess. There are also reports that some law abiding citizens have openly raise voice against wide spread sale of drugs and running of brothel centres in Rajiv Nagar and Qasim Nagar. Allegations are also doing the rounds that those manage these dens of shame enjoy hospitality as “Prominent Citizens” in the rooms of SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Police station. We pray to God this may not turn true but situation seems grim when the whole matter is revealed by cops posted in the same police station. This is an alarming situation and warrants immediate attention of the law enforcement agencies as the combination of Drugs-Sex on this notorious road stretch having connection with Rajiv Nagar-Qasim Nagar drug peddlers will have dangerous ramifications for the society especially the young generations.
Sooner the better, the Police authorities need to accept the bitter reality about flourishing hub of drugs, gambling and sex operating with protection under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station. The police authorities needs to shun practice of predilections and assesment of officers need to be done on the basis of prevailing ground realities sans stage manage show of cosmetic Police Public meetings comprised mostly of hand picked stooges of SHO.
