Srinagar: Police on here today detained the Independent legislator and MLA Langate Er Rasheed when he was leading a protest rally against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the region.
As per reports, Rasheed along with his supporters tried to take a protest rally from his Jawahar Nagar residence, but policemen deployed in strength took him into custody.
He was later lodged at Rajbagh police station.
