Ramnagar:  Continuing with his fusillade against the anti Jammu forces, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and former Minister today made a fervent appeal to the people to unite to face the onslaught of vested interests out to marginalize Jammu and to denigrate its spirit of composite culture, pluralistic ethos    and rich values. He said that Jammu region had a time tested history of pluralism and communal harmony which was contemptuously being questioned by political elements and forces inimical to the interests of Jammu region. The most unfortunate aspect was the BJP joining hands with such negatively configured forces to browbeat Jammu and to crush the sentiments of its people, lamented Harsh. He was addressing huge public gathering in Pathwar and Chani Mansar villages of Ramnagar constituency.

Lambasting the BJP for bartering away the very self pride of people of Jammu for power sake, Mr. Harsh Dev that massive protests and demonstrations on day to day basis in various parts of the state and Jammu region in particular was a peoples referendum against the misrule and opportunism of saffron flavoured govt. He said that BJP had not only disregarded the public sentiment by refusing CBI probe in Rasana case, but had seemingly surrendered over the issue of withdrawal of order over tribal settlements and deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis.

Describing BJP as a sinking ship, Mr, Singh said that having been saddled with a huge baggage of mistrust, it was fast losing its space and relevance. He said that its persistent surrenders and betrayals had shattered the faith of the people who were abandoning it and looking for alternatives and claimed that several prominent BJP leaders had approached the NPP leadership and expressed their eagerness to join it. He said that JKNPP would spring major surprises in the days to come with several leaders of other parties, intellectuals and prominent citizens of Jammu openly embracing the Panthers Party and its dogma.

Over the constituency specific issues, Mr. Singh expressed grave concern over the deplorable plight of pot-holed and bumpy roads in various villages desperately crying for repairs and lamented non initiation of any action for renovation of the same. He regretted that while the PWD Deptts official had expressed inability to effect the major repairs due to funds constraints, the incumbent leadership had utterly failed to project the issue before the concerned authorities. Maintaining that funds were never a problem during his tenure, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh claimed that he had got sanctioned the highest number of development projects including roads and bridges for his constituency as compared to all others constituencies of the state. He regretted that not a single road had been approved for Ramnagar constituency in Phase-XI which had totally exposed the incumbent leadership for its imbecility.

Commenting upon the degeneration in the power sector, Mr. Harsh expressed serious concern over the huge un-scheduled cuts, extremely low voltage problem and non repairs of transformers damaged for several weeks. He called for early installation of new transformers besides Grid Stations that were sanctioned in 2014 under DDUVY and other schemes of electrification.
