The officials of Health Department which is headed by additional Chief Secretary, Vivek Bhardwaj collected three samples from a cluster in Jammu city. These samples were immediately sent to NCDC to ascertain the presence of omicron virus.

On Tuesday, the official twitter handle of H&MED on Dec 21 in a tweet said that all the three samples which were lifted have turned positive for Omicron.

Official of Health Department confiding anonymity said ” In matters of life and death consumption of 21 days defies tall claims of efficiency, the government brags with pomp and show. This shows something has seriously afflicted the crucial H&MED”.

Expressing astonishment over prolong delay in arrival of samples reportĀ  a senior doctor of Government Medical College and Hospital avers “It’s seems after dispatch of three samples, the entire men and machinery went in deep slumber over a serious matter.

This sounds unbelievable”. In an era of high level advancement in medical science technology, such prolong delay are not acceptable, he added.

One can imagine the multiplication of those who came in contact with these three persons whose samples were taken 21 days ago, opined a health expert.

Pertinently, one case has been reported from the Bantalab area and two from the Talab Tillo area.
As per health officials, the condition of all the three patients who have no travel history abroad, is stable.
