JAMMU: Finally, the Jammu Development Authority has started showing its presence against the land grabbers in Bhathindi area of Jammu region.
As a token anti encroachment drive, today the team of JDA early in the morning and demolished a structure which was raised by the land grabber near Bhathindi Police Post after encroaching the land which belongs to JDA.
The land grabber identified as Sadeeq son of Abdul Gani R/o Bhathindi has encroached upon the JDA land falling under Khasra number 260, village Narwal Bala, Tehsil Bala.
Taking cognizance of the encroachment, the bulldozer pulls down the structure and fixed the JDA sign board. In this connection, the JDA has also lodged FIR against the land grabber in the concerned police station. The demolition was done by the team of JDA led by Shruti Bhardwaj, Tehsilar.
The anti encroachment which was first of its kind in the Bhathindi area was carried as per the direction of Vice Chairperson Babila Rakwal and under the supervision of Puneet Sharma, Director Land Management besides officers of JDA engineering wing.
It’s worth to mentioned here that there is free for all encroachment of JDA land in Bhathindi where the land grabbers are minting money by encroaching and selling JDA land just by executing sale deed on stamp papers.
Not only this with active connivance of some officials and officers of JDA, revenue, police and BDO concerned land grabbers are constructing huge malls, buildings and Villas in blatant violation on JDA land in violation of buildings norms and Master Plan Jammu 2032.
