Two employees including one Enforcement Inspector Shiv Kumar placed under suspension pending enquiry
JAMMU: Reacting to news item published by JK Global News on August 13 pertaining to sorry state of affairs prevailing in Jammu Municipal Corporation store at Gandhi Nagar, the Commissioner in a surprise visit on Sunday suspended two employees of JMC after they were found involved in consumption of liquor alongwith some outsiders.
Taking serious note of the unlawful activities going on unhindered inside a room in store of JMC, the Commissioner noted the details of all person present inside the complex and later suspended Enforcement Inspector Shiv Kumar and SKC/chowkidar Bachan Lal for unwanted activities in store room of JMC at Gandhi Nagar.
As per order No 5551 55 dated 16-8-2021, issued by Joint Commissioner (P&E) Pankaj Gupta both the suspended JMC officials were attached with the office of Jt Commissioner (P&E) pending enquiry.
“In a surprise visit by the Commissioner, two employees of the JMC namely Shiv Kumar (Khilafarzi Inspector) and Bachan Kumar (Chowkidar) were seen consuming liquor inside a room in Gandhinagar store alongwith two outsiders identified as Constable Chander Parkash deployed as PSO with an IAS officer and one contractor of UEED” reads the order.
