JAMMU: Reacting to the news item published by JK Global News regarding the mess created in JDA by overstaying Patwaris who managed their postings on inter district basis in contravention of rules, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Raghav Langer have shunted seven Patwaris to their parent districts with immediate effect.

As per order No DIVCOM JMU (EST) 72 of 2021 dated 08.09.2021 seven Patwaris namely Mohd Ishtaq, Shama Parveen, Shawaz Mughal and Shehnaz Akhtar were sent back to their parent district Kathua. Similarily, Khurshid Ahmad, Nasreen Akhter and Asmat Saleem were transferred to their home district Poonch and Udhampur respectively.

It is interesting to note that Ishtaq (Birpur, Chowadhi, Vijaypur, Sarore, Bishnah ) and Asmat (Jagti, Nagrota, Sidhara)- was also part of BOCA team of Zone A and Zone B where large number of commercial establishments were constructed in violation of JMP-2032 without any approved plan from JDA in connivance with concerned employees of JDA allegedly through corrupt means .

It’s worth to mention here that JKGN have published a news item on June 6, 2021 pertaining to posting of nine Patwaris in JDA in violation of rules. Consequently, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu vide letter No 101/3286/21/1156-65 dated 7/6/2021has sought details of Patwaris posted outside their home district from all District Commissioners of Jammu region.

“This exercise was initiated as the higher authorities have taken serious note about handful of blue eyed Patwaris who managed postings in JDA on inter district basis in flagrant violation of rules” said an officer posted in Divisional Commissioner, Jammu office. Culminating this long existing practice, the authorities on completion of verification exercise have sent them back to their parent districts, added officer on condition of anonymity.
