Bengaluru: Election to the constituency was deferred due to large-scale electoral malpractices in which one of the accused is the Congress candidate Munirathna. Three days before the scheduled May 12 voting, nearly 10,000 voter IDs were recovered from a polling booth in Bengaluru’s RR Nagar constituency. An estimated 54% of the 4.71 lakh voters exercised their franchise on May 28.
