    Omar financialy helps family of girl caught with Major Gogoi

    Srinagar: National conference working president and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Friday released an amount of 1.30 lac rupees in favour of Ghulam Mohammad Wani, son of Habibullah Wani, a resident of Check Kawoosa, Narbal under the CDF funds for the construction of the house.

    Ghulam Mohammad is the father of Check Kawoosa girl who was held with an army Major Leetul Gogoi in Srinagar Hotel.

    Taking to a social networking site Twitter, Omar Abdullah’s Political Secretary Tanveer Sadiq wrote: “Our local party office bearers have visited Check Kawoosa area of Beerwah. After a first-hand report & finding the family living in extreme poverty & living in a tin shed, Mr @OmarAbdullah has released an amount of 1.30 lakh in favour of Gh. Mohd Wani for construction of the house.
