SAMBA : Employee of PHE department namely Subash Chander s/o Durga Dass r/o village Rarian , tehsil Ramgarh was arrested by Samba Police for raping a woman in the guise of a ‘tantrik’ after luring her for healing skin disease with ‘tantra-mantra’ , ‘charnamrit’ and ‘vibhuti’.
Police has registered rape case FIR No 23/2023 under section 376 IPC at Police Station Ramgarh, district Samba on the directions of Hon’ble court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Samba.
The victim woman had approached the court of CJM Samba alleging therein that the accused had committed rape on her posing himself as a ‘tantrik’ possessing supernatural healing powers effective enough to cure her skin disease.
She further alleged in the said application that she alongwith her sister had gone to Baba Siddh Goriya temple, Swankha from where accused took her her to his house where she fell conscious after consuming a substance claimed as ‘charnamrit’ and ‘vibhuti’ by tantrik and then raped her.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the CJM, Samba directed police fof enquiry report. Subsequently, on receipt of enquiry report, the Court, issued directions to police u/s 156 (3) CrPC to register FIR under relevant sections of law.
The arrested rape accused has been identified as an employee (Fitter) of PHE department namely Subash Chander s/o Durga Dass r/o village Rarian , tehsil Ramgarh , district Samba.
