    Reasi Police nabs serial fraudster of Manjakote

    Tariq is a habitual law breaker and accused of deceived three girls with fraudulent marriage on fake identify

    REASI: The Reasi have arrested a man who is accused of fake marriage on three accounts. The accused identified as Tariq Khan son of Mohd Hussain R/o Kalali village of Manjakote.

    He was wanted by Reasi police in connection with three case of fake marriage which she solemnised fraudulently with innocent girls by changing his identity. The accused was arrested from Kashmir.

    As per reports, the Reasi police received a written complaint from one victim girl stating that the accused Tariq Khan developed relationship with the family of complainant and repeatedly raped her in the garb of fake marriage promise by living in their home.

    Later, the accused disappeared with 5 tola gold and 4 lakh cash from the home of victim. The victim became pregnant and gave birth to a child

    Upon this, the police lodges FIR no. 152 U/S 420/376/379 and started investigation.

    During preliminary investigations it came to fore that accused is habitual of developing relationships with innocent girls on the false promises of marriage & exploit them. He got married some 22 years ago in Rajouri where he is also having children.

    In another case he made relationship with a innocent woman in Srinagar, married her & repeated the same story.

    Working upon clues from human intelligence, the presence of accused was surfaced in Kashmir valley.

    Consequently, Shailender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi constituted a special team which after liasoning with cops of Srinagar successfully arrested the accused from Barbarshah, the downtown area of Srinagar city within two days after reporting of crime.

    Accused Tariq Khan is a habitual offender and hardcore criminal of Manjakote area of Rajouri, he is also defaulter of bank loans in Rajouri. He is also accused in Case Fir no 8/2021 U/S 419,420,120,380,506 IPC of Police Station Bahu Fort jammu.
