    Security forces eliminate 4 militants in Jammu

    JAMMU: Averting a major terror strike, the security forces on Wednesday eliminated four terrorists in an encounter at Sidhara in outskirts of Jammu.

    The encounter started after the militants hiding in a truck opened fire when it was signaled for checking at naka by police jawans.

    The truck was heading towards Kashmir and all the militants were hidden inside it with large quantity of arms and ammunition.

    In joint operation of Army and police, all the four militants were eliminated and the truck was confined to flames in encounter.

    As per security forces “There was unusual movement of a truck in the area. Police stopped the truck at check post. As security forces started searching the truck, terrorist hiding inside fired at security forces. All the terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire”.

    Seven AK rifles, one M4 carbine, three pistols and other ammunition was recovered.
