    Srinagar cops seized 11 kg heroin

    SRINAGAR: Police have arrested two cross border narcotic smugglers on Thursday and recovered 11 kg heroin worth Rs 70 crore from their possession.

    Official twitter handle of Kashmir said  “Heroin weighing 11.089 kg worth 70 crore in international market was recovered from two cross border narcotic smugglers, identified as Sajjad Ahmed Badana, son of Aijaz Ahmed Badana of Nachyan, Karnah, Kupwara and Zaheer Ahmed Tanch, son of Alamdin Tanch of Amroyi Karnah.

    Proceeds of drugs in cash amounting to Rs 11, 82,500 was also recovered from them, police said, adding that both the arrested accused were residing in a rented accommodation owned by one Ghulam Mohd Dar of Kursoo, Rajbagh. Case FIR number 17/2023 has been registered under sections 8,21,29 of NDPS act in Rajbagh PS.
