Karnatka: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused BJP and RSS of ‘systematically taagetting every single institutions’.
“There is a systematic attempt by the BJP and RSS to capture all of India’s institutions. They are targetting every single institution systematically and the people are resisting,” said Gandhi while addressing media in Karnataka.
Gandhi asked PM Modi to explain to the people of Karnataka why the BJP has fielded BS Yeddyurappa as the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate who had a record of being in jail as a Chief Minister back in 2011.
“We are asking the Prime Minister who is coming on a regular basis to Karnataka to please explain to the people of Karnataka why he has chosen a corrupt person with a record of being in jail as his Chief Ministerial candidate,” Gandhi said. “People of Karnataka why Narendra Modi could not find a non-corrupt Chief Ministerial candidate.”
“Also they want to know why Narendra Modi has given 8 tickets to the Reddy brothers who have stolen 35,000 crores of Karnataka’s money. This is the main question that is on the minds of the people of Bangalore and the people of Karnataka and Prime Minister should answer this,” he added
