Senior leader of BJP and former Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta alongwith nine others has been booked by police in FIR pertaining to allegations of misappropriation of funds meant for Gaushala.
The FIR No. 0125/2025 under Sections 316, 318 (3) and 325 BNS, 2023 has been registered on the directions of Judicial Magistrate 1st class (Munsiff) Jammu-Rekha Sharma on the complaint of Rohit Bali S/o Darbari Lal Bali who is General Secretary of the Hare Krishna Gaushala Charitable Trust, Shakti Nagar, Jammu.
Including Chander Mohan Gupta, nine other accused namely Narender Verma, Manju Verma, Vijay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Deepak Singh Rana, Varinder Dogra, Deepak Singla, Rajeev Sambyal and Rajinder Abrol regarding are mentioned in FIR pertaining to theft of 13 cows and 24 calves and misappropriation of around 97 Lakhs of rupees of Hare Krishna Gaushala near Eden Garden, Top SherKhania, Shakti Nagar, Jammu.
The whistle-blower in his complaint has alleged that a Trust namely Hare Krishna Gaushala Charitable Trust came to be established in the year 2017 and the complainant has been its General Secretary and was managing its affairs and had personally purchased 25 number of cows along with 24 calves and before the taking-over of the Management of the said Gaushala by the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu the applicant got the reports regarding missing of cows and their calves and other illegal activities being carried out in the said Gaushala by the accused persons mentioned in the FIR.
