JAMMU: With the arrest of a young woman and her lover, the Domana police team has cracked a gruesome murder of a 33-year-old man at Seora in PouniChak area.
As per reports, the arrested woman namely Shallu Devi along with her lover Bhanu Pratap Singh as part of a criminal conspiracy executed the murder of her husband namely Naresh Chander r/o Bhaderwah and later tried to project it as a road accident.
The victim was brutally murdered in Seora area falling under the Jurisdiction of police post Pounichak, Jammu on Sunday 6th April, 2024 evening and information about this incident was received by PP Pouni Chak police through PCR,Jammu on 7th April, 2024 at about 03:00 hours wherein it was informed that one person namely Naresh Chander s/o Achru r/o Bhaderwah had died due to road accident near Revenue Complex, Gole Gujral and his dead body was lying at Gandhi Nagar Govt. Hospital, Jammu and his wife was admitted there in injured condition.
Upon, this PP Pouni Chak took the body of deceased into custody for postmortem and registered FIR No.85/2024 U/S 279,337, 304A IPC in Police Station, Domana and started investigation into the case. During investigation it came to fore that the statement of the wife of deceased was suspiciously misleading and mismatched with the incident. Upon this, the police team recorded statements of in-laws of deceased as well as his friends and relatives which spill beans about the illicit relations of the accused woman with co accused in the crime. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the duo and during questioning, the paramour of accused wife of deceased admitted to executing the murder at abandoned place in Seora. Consequently, the police booked both the accuseds under section 302 and other relevant sections of law.
