New Delhi: Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s condition is stable. He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All vital parameters are stable. He will continue to be in hospital till infection is controlled: All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Vajpayee, who has been ailing for long, was admitted to AIIMS for routine check-up and investigations and his condition was stated to be stable. The doctors later said they diagnosed urinary tract infection for which he is undergoing treatment.
The BJP stalwart was the prime minister between 1998 and 2004. As his health deteriorated, he slowly withdrew from public life and has been confined to his residence for many years.
