JAMMU: Electoral Literacy club of government degree college Bishnah, in association with IQAC on Friday launched a signature campaign in the college campus to spread voting awareness under the theme ‘Chunav ka parv ,desh ka Garv’ under the patronship of principal of the college, Dr Shallu Sambyal.
Principal Boys higher secondary school, Bishnah Rekha Rani, staff,faculty and students were also present on the occasion, wherein they expressed their enthusiasm for the campaign with a pledge to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Later on a selfie stand was also established to click photos of staff and students as a motivated and proud voter making it a memorable and impactful endeavor.
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college, emphasised that these campaign helps in sensitising college community and students about the importance of voting. She further urged everyone to vote responsibly as voting determines country’s future and safeguards the democratic traditions. The event was coordinated by Convenor Electoral Literacy Club Prof.Shrotika Rajput.
