    Govt constitutes CS led Committee to end mess on Ramban-Banihal Road

    SRINAGAR: Taking cognisance of ever recurring mess on Ramban-Banihal stretch of Jammu Srinagar National Highway, the Government on Monday formed a committee headed by Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta for reviewing the progress of projects on monthly basis and for taking timely decisions for resolution of bottlenecks in the construction of the re-aligned section of Ramban-Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar highway.

    As per reports, in addition to the Chief Secretary as chairman, the members of the committee include principal secretaries to government Revenue, PW(R&B) department, commissioner secretaries of department of mining and department of Forest Ecology, & Environment besides Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
