Jammu: Finally, the authorities in Jammu Municipal Corporation removed high net worth (HNW) illegal hoardings from Bloal Bridge after remianed in slumber for almost an year.

The entire action was initiated at the behest of Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development who took serious note of the startling facts highlighted by JK Global News in its story dated December 25 about the nexus prevailing behind 11 full size HNW illegal hoardings in ward No 68.

This top down approach have not only exposed the large scale corruption prevailing in the concerned JMC section but also unmasked those making tall claims of cosmetic honesty through hoo-hoollah.

It’s hard to believe that the concerned officers in JMC were never aware that the private players were minting crores by displaying advertisements on these HNW illegal hoardings at the vantage location in ward No 68 along national highway, said a senior officer of enforcement wing.

Interestingly, the connection between the owners of these prime unauthorised hoardings and JMC officers is evident from the fact that out of eleven still three full size hoardings were deliberately spared during the demolition drive.

Had the JMC outsource these hoardings it would have fetched nearly one crore to its coffers in one year, said insiders.

Now, only Commissioner JMC Pankaj Magotra or his close  lieutenant knows better why three illegal hoardings on Bloal bridge and many alike these spared a during demolition drive along  Greater Kailash -Gangyal Highway.
