JAMMU : Acting tough against unauthorised constructions, the Jammu Development Authority on Tuesday has sealed one under construction commercial complex owned by one Asgar Ali in Bajalta area which is fast emerging as commercial and residential hub in Jammu.
Under the direction of VC JDA Pankaj Sharma, the enforcement wing of JDA under the supervision of of DLM Garbi Rashid and Tehsildar Sushil Sharma sealed the complex with assistance from police post Sidhara and duty magistrate.
This is first building in Bajalta area which has been sealed by the JDA as the Vice Chairman, Pankaj Sharma has taken serious view of mushrooming illegal constructions and urge the citizens to start constructions only after the JDA approved plan permission else illegal constructions will be demolished or sealed.
The JDA has implored the citizens to desist from undertaking illegal constructions and seek proper permission prior to start of residential or commercial constructions.
Worth to mentioned here that prior to advent of new VC JDA Pankaj Sharma and DLM Garbi Rashid large number of illegal commercial buildings were allowed to construct in Jagti, Ban, Nagrota and Bajalta allegedly in connivance with the Khilafwarzi wing of JDA. This corrupt practices not only led to cluster of haphazard buildings in the area but also incur huge building permission fees loss to state exchequer.
