JAMMU: In a loud and clear message to flesh traders and their sympathizer hoteliers, the District administration Jammu on Saturday sealed House No 196 of notorious History Sheeter Swarna for using the premises for prostitution.
The sealing operation was executed under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Abbas Jafri and Tehsildar Bahu.
Officials of DC office Jammu sealing premises of POCSO accused SwarnaPremises which was used as BROTHEL by Swarna.
The order for sealing was issued by Additional District Commissioner, Jammu after perusal of dossier prepared by the police and conduct of free and fair investigation by SDPO East DySP Syed Abbas Jaffri.
Heavy contingent of police was deployed in the area to thwart nefarious designs of street urchins and sympathizers of Swarna. However, the sealing process was concluded smoothly without any resistance from family members of prime accused Swarna.

Briefing media, SDPO East Syed Jaffri said “On the order of District administration, the residence of POCSO accused Swarna was sealed today for flesh trade. Whosoever high, no one will be spared for indulging in human trafficking and similar treatment is in offing for those who are hand in glove with prime accused”.
Pertinent to mentioned here that on March 8, 2023, the Bagh e Bahu police station team led by the then SHO, Inspector Surinder Raina had raided the brothel of Swarna and recovered a minor girl who was kept in illegal confinement and subjected to coerced prostitution. During one month illegal confinement, the rescued minor girl after drugging with heroine used to produce before sex beasts at premises as well as in MC Dollar Hotel located in Gujjar Nagar and owned by one retired police officer.
Consequently, police booked Swarna and five accomplices in FIR No 32/2023 u/s 366-A, 343/344/34 IPC , 4/6/16, POCSO Act and Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act.

Initially, the Bagh e Bahu police station in FIR No 32 dated 08/03/2023, booked accused Swarna alongwith four accomplice u/s 366 A, 344, POCSO Act. However, later after transfer of the then SHO Inspector Surinder Raina , the case was investigated by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafri which led to the incorporation of section 3.4.5.7 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act in the FIR and subsequently prompting the District administration to initiate process for sealing House No 196 in Qasim Nagaras as well as Hotel MC Dollar located in Gujjar Nagar where the minor girl was exploited for prostitution for more than one month
“We have issued notice for sealing hotel MC Dollar and premises of accused Swarna under PITA Act. Now, we are sealing Swarna’s house whereas, action will be initiated against the MC Dollar Hotel as and when the stay order gets vacated” avers reliable sources in administration.
