Jammu: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated Rabindranath Tagore’s Jayanti with ebullient spirit & rhapsodic activities. The commemoration began with garlanding his portrait & lightening of lamp followed by special assembly in which our Sanskritian, Sushant paid tribute to Tagore by enacting like him & the first ever speech delivered by Rabindranath Tagore on education.
His educational philosophy was that education should make moral beings, should inculcate cultural & customs among children. He considers educational system as educational factories which are creating lifeless humans & throughout his life he worked to provide practical knowledge to children.
The moment was breath taking as it created an aura of Tagore in today’s era. It was followed by myriad of performance of our musical group who sang a symphony in his memory. Conjointly Sanskritians recited famous poems of ‘Ravinder Nath Tagore’ namely “Chal Akela” & “Freedom” & reminded us of his beckoning composition which filled the entire ambience with gratitude towards such a majestic composer& poet.
Throughout the day, many activities in primary, middle & senior winglike poem recitation, poem composition etc. were witnessed which all were directed towards remembrance of his great & ardent work as a writer and poet. The day was relinquished with the innervate words of our Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Rohini Aima who accolades the staff & children for their efforts to celebrate & honour our great poet & asserted that it is our immaterialistic achievements which make people remember us even after we leave this world.
