    Pardeep Manhas takes charge as Jt Commissioner JMC

    Jammu: Pardeep Singh Manhas took charge of joint commissioner Jammu Municipality here today.

    KAS officer of 2001 batch Manhas has replaced Rishpal Singh. Prior to this assignment, Manhas has unblemished handle various assignments in different departments. He successfully served as RTO Kathua where he initiated number of measures to check accidents on roads besides initiatives which brought relief to daily public transport passengers.

    He also served as Assistant Commissioner Development Samba as well as Kathua, General Manager DIC Samba, PO RDD, Dy Dir Handicraft besides special assistant to Industries Minister.

    Interacting with JKGN Manahs after taking the new assignment said “JMC is crucial departments which handled multifaceted jobs that impact the welfare, development and health of the public and anything that endangered the public safety and impediments in holistic growth of city will be handled appropriately as per laws.

    He appealed to the general public for extending cooperation in keeping city and their surroundings clean so as to make ‘Swaach Bharat’ initiative a success in letter and spirit. Stating that “Our doors are open for public and if there is any genuine concern anyone can walk freely”, Manhas said “If there are rules and regulations for certain things, the public should follow the same instead of resorting to shortcuts which only leads to complication for them at later stage”
