    Police busts gang of notorious non local burglars, stolen goods worth 10 lakh recover

    JAMMU: In a major success, the Trikuta Nagar Police station team have busted a gang of notorious burglars hailing from Madhya Pradesh and recovered stolen gold and electronic items worth 10 lakhs from their possession.

    This achievement was made as part of Investigation pertaining to a plaint lodged on 22-04-2021 by Manmohan Singh S/O S. Roop Singh R/O Trikuta Nagar that some unknown thieves entered his house when the former were out of station on a pilgrimage and decamped with gold items worth lakhs.

    Another complaint of similar nature of crime was lodged by Dr. Surinder Singh Kukal S/O S. Gurcharan Singh R/O Khu Wali Gali near Trikuta Nagar.

    Consequently,  two cases FIR No. 125/21 U/S 457/380 IPC and 129/21 U/S 457/380/511 IPC got registered at P/S Bahu Fort respectively and team was constituted to nab the accuseds.

    On this special teams of P/S Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar were constituted.

    The team  with the help of CCTV footages of the area and other technical aid finally rounded up 5 suspects namely Santosh Kumar @ Sukhi @ Mota S/O Shiv Lal R/O Chattarpur, Madhya Pradesh, Vinod Ahirwar S/O Mathura Dass R/O Chattarpur, Madhya Pradesh, Kalu S/O Bindu R/O Chattarpur, Madhya Pradesh and two juveniles.

    During sustained questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above cases of thefts and on their disclosure stolen items including cash and ornaments have been recovered which includes one Gents Kada, 4 Ladies Bangles, 1 Gents chain, 2 Gents rings, 3 Ladies rings, 1 Mangal Sutra, 2 Pendent sets, 4 Ladies tops and 3 pairs of Earrings (all gold). Besides, several silver items which includes 1 Ladies Kada, 3 pairs of Payal sets and artificial ring – (Zarkan)

    In addition, the police recovered 1 Bag Zoom, 1 Bottle Zoom, 1 Glass Zoom, 1 Watch fastrack, 1 pair Air pods, 1 Diary Zoom, 1 Charger, 1 Ear phone, 1 Kirpan and Cash Rs. 1400/-

    Police disclosed that among the five arrested thieves three are notorious thieves who were involved in several such type of crimes at many places in Domana, Amphalla, Gorkha Nagar, Narwal, Trikuta Nagar, Channi, Gangyal, Gandhi Nagar.
