JAMMU: Pacca Danga Police have busted mobile-sim module operating in central jail Amphala Jammu and arrested three accused.
On April 2, during routine checking, a cosco ball was found in the premises of Amphala Jail. The team got suspicious and during examination of the ball one mobile along with sim and charging lead wrap were recovered from inside it.
The police registered FIR NO. 36/2024 U/S 42 Prison Act at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation of the case was entrusted to incharge Police Post, Rehari.
Sensing the gravity of the situation and incident in sensitive location, a special team, constituted upon the direction of SP City North, Jammu Shivam Siddharth headed by SDPO City North, Jammu Devinder Singh Bandral and led by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Rakesh Singh activated human intelligence grid and collected all technical data.T
During investigation, three person namely Mohammad Akheel Wani R/O Belicharana, Harsh Singh S/O Ramesh Singh R/O Vikram Chowk Jammu and Vikas Singh @ Raja S/O Jaswant Singh R/O Bhagalpur Gho Manasa were arrested which in collusion with each other were smuggling sim inside Jail premises. One motor bike bearing registration no. JK02CT-1088 used in throwing ball inside the Jail was also seized.
