Jammu:Taking serious note of the incident of stone pelting on the motor cavalcade of Hon’ble Minister for PHE,I&FC Sham Lal Chowdhary who was on his way to chair the District Development Board (DDB) Meeting at Kathua, Brig. (Retd.) Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party has castigated those who are trying to introduce stone pelting culture in the peaceful Jammu region.
Brig. (Retd.) Gupta said that the people of Rasana are peace-loving and know very well that Bharatiya Janata Party has been in the forefront of demanding justice for all. The party had maintained from day one that the perpetrators of the heinous crime should be given harshest possible punishment but at the same time no innocents should be harassed or punished, said Brig. (Retd.) Gupta. They are definitely not involved in such unlawful activities, he said.
Taking to task those who were involved in stone pelting, Brig Gupta said that they were acting at the behest of those forces who are desperately trying to create Kashmir like situation in Jammu. Stone pelting is alien to Jammu and these stone pelters are acting at the behest of these forces alleged Brig. (Retd.) Gupta.
Jammu region is proud of its peaceful culture and respect for all. Let us not violate that and rather should work for increasing the positive vibes, Brig. (Retd.) Gupta appealed.
