    ‘Corruption rampant under Governor administration’

    Arfat Khan

Samba: On the fag end of retirement, the CEO Kamal Kumar Chalotra prefer to turn Nelson eye towards large scale illegal constructions in  Baribrahmna Municipal Committee.

Sources close to CEO office revealed that nearly 22 unauthorised constructions are underway in the area which are well within the notice of the CEO Chalotra. But for the reasons best known to him he never bothered to initiate action against these constructions.

Pointing towards an unauthorised commercial construction which is going on only a few yards opposite CEO BB Municipal Committee office, sources said” This two floor commercial building is being constructed without any approved plan and devoid of provision for parking indicts level of corruption prevailing in CEO office”

Similarly, in a chowk four shops are under construction on road side in utter violation of set norms. These shops are constructed on residential land.

There are many such constructions going on inside the lanes and along the road which have assumed alarming proportion after the incumbent CEO took charge of office on Jan,2019, alleged sources.

These constructions and inaction of officer against the same seems to be the fit case for team of ACB to enquire and fix the responsibility against erring officers, said an insider.

It’s worth to mention here that this is the third posting of Kamal Kumar Chalotra in the BB Committee and the penchant for this choicest place of posting reflects the current incumbent affection for this economically thriving commercial hub.

Speakingto JKGN, K.K Chalotra while flaunting his contact with BJP party and candidly admitting to illegal constructions said “What can I do as I am about to retire in July, 2019″ On being asked as to why he is avoiding action against such large illegal constructions in the area, he replied ” Let the Governor administration asked me about this and then I will respond accordingly”
