    ‘Demolition man’ Rohit posted as VC JDA

    JAMMU: Known for carrying several demolition drives against the land grabbers and road side encroachments during his past stint as District Magistrate in Kathua, Udhampur and Samba, the posting of ‘demolition man’ Rohit Khajuria as VC, Jammu Development Authority has came as a severe shock for land mafia and some corrupt officials of JDA.

    The news of new VC in JDA came as bolt from the blue especially for those corrupt officials who are in league with land mafia were facilitating the encroachment of JDA land. Even, some black moles in enforcement wing of JDA who used to remain silent over broad day unauthorised constructions on JDA land now feeling nervous over the appointment of Rohit, said an officer of JDA.

    Days are tough ahead for corrupt officials as well those land grabbers who presumed themselves as unstoppable masters of land grabbing in Sidhara, Majeen, Ragoora, Belicharana, Phalianmandal, Bhathindi and Sunjawan, said JDA insiders.

    Meanwhile, ending all speculations to rest, the Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a transfer order of ten KAS officers.

    O.P. Bhagat (KAS) who successfully handled the crucial Kathua District during pandemic as District Magistrate has been bestowed the assignment of crucial department as Director, Geology and Mining.

    Nagendra Singh Jamwal (KAS), Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Registrar, Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, J&K, on deputation basis.

    Babila Rakwal (KAS), Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) relieving Alok Kurnar, IRS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department of the additional charge of the post.

    Rachna Sharrna (KAS), Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba, has been transferred and posted as Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Jammu.

    Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma (KAS), Additional Secretary to the Government, Housing and llrban Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, School Education, Jammu.

    Shafqat Iqbal (KAS), awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K.

    Tilak Raj Sharma (KAS), Additional Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba.

    Rakesh Magotra (KAS), Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department.

    Asif Hamid Khan (KAS), Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Member, J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench)
