Udhampur: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Chenani, Dina Nath Bhagat today inaugurated repaired and renovated building of Government High School Kassuri in Chenani Constituency.
The repair and renovation works of school building was done involving a cost of Rs 4.50 lakh from Constituency Development Fund. The school building was damaged due to storm and it was difficult to run the classes in open or damaged rooms.
Giving detailed account of various welfare schemes launched by the Union Government, the MLA asked people to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes. He also said that various developmental activities are underway under several sectors in Constituency, adding that the work of blacktopping and macadamization on various road projects has been taken into hand and some of them is nearing completion.
Responding to the demands of the people with regard to upgradation of local school, the MLA said that the matter would be taken up the education department so that the people of this far-off area get education facility at their doorstep.
