JAMMU: With the arrest of Editor Dhar Times namely Vishal Dhar, the Bahu Fort Police has swiftly solved a firing case along with pistol and live cartridges.

As per reports, late Saturday night, an information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that some unknown person have fired few shots in South Extension Trikuta Nagar causing panic in the whole locality.

Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 58/2021 under Section 307 IPC and 3/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort. Acting swiftly on the directions of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar and SP South Deepak Digra rushed to the spot and inspected the spot very minutely.

One individual present on the spot namely Vishal Dhar (Editor Dhar News, Jammu), son of Satish Dhar (retired employee of Door Darshan Jammu), a resident of Ruman House, Gurah Bakshi Nagar, District Jammu tried to dodge police by presenting false and concocted story putting blame on some individuals.

Not satisfied with his version, police team brought him to Police Station and put him on sustained questioning during which he spilled the beans and admitted his guilt.

He confessed that he had fired the shots from his licensed pistol to kill/threaten Chaman Kaith alias Rohan, son of Mohan Lal Kaith of South Extension Trikuta Nagar as some dispute was going on between him and family of Chaman Kaith.

He was immediately arrested and on his disclosure, weapon of offence (.32 bore pistol) alongwith 3 live rounds were recovered from the spot.

Chaman Kaith escaped unhurt in the firing. However, the whole case of firing was solved within 1 hour by Bahu Fort Police.
